The place you posted about had no solar panels. I checked the aerial view and there are tall trees on three sides and the open side that the redwood deck overlooks seems to have 18 bushy things growing on the hillslope (per my count). That would be the only place to put solar panels but you'd need to get rid of those bushes .. whatever they are. Wait, I think they're fruit trees.
