Nope I havnt seen Elmat in about 8 years, Checked my pvt mail and have 3 messages from him in the last year all about his future location moves,I have spoken to him on the phone about 3 X in last 8 years. He has a good heart, reads more than me, has good ideas in areas where he is not biased (sorry Elmat but useless in areas you are biased--so is Spengler so don't worry) I worry that he actually holds his punches at times on the board so as not to offend me-we are quite opposite in many ways, also spends too much effort coaxing me out to post. It is hard to be offended by a Good Guy, I am not sure how much I even respect myself.I respect Elmat

I write Camp, as Susan Sontga described. Not to be confuse with camp effeminate manners.

Other guys, MQ being the typical example, are kitsch

MQ writing about Anglos is Kitsch

kitsch
As an art movement, lifestyle, or literature and film genre, kitsch is pleasingly distasteful. It's melodramatic, overdone, gaudy and tacky or sentimental and folksy. It's so bad that it's cool.

I counterpose MQ's kitsch with my writing about the Anglos in a CAMP style.
Camp is something considered amusing not because of its originality but because of its unoriginality. According to Susan Sontag, "The essence of Camp is its love of the unnatural: of artifice and exaggeration. And Camp is esoteric -- something of a private code, a badge of identity even, among small urban cliques." (Notes on Camp).

Perhaps owing for his professional appraisal of people THE ANT mistakes my writing style for bias -and when he says bias immediately i think he means my attacks n Anglos- He he lacks that face to face interaction which would have made him understand my angle on the Anglos.

THE ANT's admiration for Elmat stems from the fact that deep inside he thinks: I have had my very successful life but the life of Elmat has some features that I liked to have lived.

And I am here:: Man! I should have gone to that American university, had that high paying job, had a hot Brazilian wife with all due respect for THE ANT.of course...
