Kids minds are pretty damn devious.

You see the sausage machine on the right in this pic

Punch gets stuck with the whiny baby with a wet nappy... and when he finally gets the baby settled down he wonders out loud where he should put it.

Kids who have NEVER seen a live puppet show before - let alone this one - yell out " PUT 'EM IN THE SAUSAGE MACHINE"

Seriously, who the f*ck would be so sick as to throw a baby in a meat grinder?

Nevertheless, Punch complies.

btw... thanks for that compliment. Some final thoughts on "observations about the experience"

* I'm amazed at how many people - adults and children alike - have not seen a LIVE puppet show, ever!

* Laughter IS the best medicine [ A merry heart doeth good like a medicine - Prov 17:22]

* Since all of my performing since I came back to it has been done without any financial remuneration (not that I EVER made much from performing) I'm doing it more for myself than for others.

* I made the stage... I make all the puppets myself (with few exceptions) , including sewing the clothes ...& I build the props. For me the greatest challenge is creating the story. I'm learning about story telling and there's SO MUCH TO LEARN.

* When, after I felt the bulk of my work was done raising my children, I asked myself what is it in my life that I really enjoyed... the answer was puppetry. And even as clumsy as I may be at it - its probably what I do best.

Anyway, thanks for that ? it made me do some thinking.
