The Republicans are terrified that income inequality will begin to have traction with the poor Republicans that vote for them as they thump their bibles, hate on blacks and messicans and pet their guns. So, they need to get ahead of it, and start their bafflegab NOW.

The facts are that corporate productivity has increased enormously, but all that additional profit has gone to the owners, investors and executives, who haven't seen fit to share it with the workers, now that unions are a demonized non-factor. Middle and working class wages haven't increased in 30 years.

Good to see you here again Al.

>> And so it goes...Democrats take on a social problem and the Repubs are shamed into taking some form of it on themselves...before it was repeal and replace Obamacare (replace with what they have not really said), now income inequality is a problem after dems point it out as one.

It isn't about shame, it is about political expediency.

The ignorant are convinced it is important and the Republicans are forced to treat it as important even if it isn't. Take Obamacare, for example, where government has clearly made matters worse in most respects (and we're just getting started). But the Left has waged one hell of a media campaign which has been more effective than the program itself. A media campaign waged, in fact, with significant taxpayer dollars reminiscent of something you'd find in Soviet era USSR or in North Korea.

So, there shithead Republicans just respond to the political situation of the day. Because they are salesmen first.

It is the reason we need to the Convention of States and smart people like Benjamin Carson, who have the guts to move against the political establishment -- an establishment where left and right join together to fuck over the people.

Left on their own these people would do NOTHING about either subject...in fact through the years, when in power, that is exactly what they have done.

8 years of Clinton. 6+ years of obama. 14 years of democratic control out of 24, with 2 more to go for 16.

Why is it that we still have these problems?
