I agree only with the last part of your statement. Options cost the holder nothing unless they need to be exercised.MO would only be interested in exercising them if the value of the stock has gone up past the price and he wishes to do that. e.g. sell his shares at a higher price(raise cash) and use some of the proceeds to exercise his options at a later time if the stock price keeps rising etc. etc. , just like Mike O. might be doing at Disney.
