No, I don't qualify for a subsidy.

But anyone who is 60 years of age and participates in the exchanges is effectively being subsidized by younger people or through the federal borrowing of money which will ultimately be the burden of younger people. That is not something I would choose to do.

OTOH, if my grandfathered coverage goes up like it did in 2014, or if it plays out altogether this year, I will have no other choice but to get coverage through the exchange. Unfortunately, there is no other alternative, and if that happens there is also no other alternative but for me to be subsidized by younger people. It is a sad truth of Obamacare: it totally burdens future generations with expenditures for older generations' health care.
