I am glad to see that they are talking about redoing their freeways but I was really surprised that Dallas County lost jobs from 2000-2012.

You have to keep in mind the growth of the Collin & Denton County areas out around Plano west to Frisco. 25 years ago Frisco was fields and trees. Today it is one of the busiest places in the Dallas area. A lot of business has left the downtown area and moved into Collin & Denton counties up north.

Dallas has a higher unemployment rate than Texas in general. Austin, my new home town, has an unemployment rate of 3.9%!
