One thing about Google Chrome is that it updates automatically and updates can't be turned off.
if you read the fine print in the gray window here Message 29919879 it says neither FF nor Google endorse the updater software. So it may just be a nuisance rather than malicious. Still, it's been brought to the attention of SI Ron
