You could be right on all points, but I don't want to over think this market, if this market doesn't hold, then I have to be short again... the less thinking, the better... although, this hardly minimizes the value of your comments, I think you're probably very right and your insights are definitely valuable...

This market will break out one of the ways - I'm inclined to think this increased volatility is designed to make stock holders cough up their shares.


I heard a CEO for a trading company, TD America perhaps, say on TV yesterday that the recent volatility did just that.... and that we need to get the message out to individual savers that holding cash at under 1% was not going to be enough to eventually retire but you get better long term returns in stocks.

I've said that in my newsletters since the 1990s... but the individual investor is still buying near tops and selling out near lows. Many of the indicators I have suggest this churn is making another big low before another run to new highs... Part of the process is getting the individuals off the train so the smart money can load up before selling again.
