Has TMF payed a capital gains dividend for the last year?
It is probably a very good vehicle for use in retirement
accounts where you might not have the necessary cash to
convert warrants during the spin outs.
Does anyone know how the breakdown of TMF relates to the
ownership of subsidiaries by TMO? Are placing larger bets
on certain subsidiriaries and smaller ones on others in
proportion to TMO. If not, it would make sense to buy and
hold TMO and save the fees.
I wanted to put some of this into my IRA and may buy TMF instead!
Bruce

Whoops, TDS moved a lot faster than probably even Price expected! TDS is up over 3 today...looks like Michael Price worked his magic...

Good call by Fortune, OTOH, the same issue also recommended DANKY as a value int'l stock @ $36, so nobody's perfect. ;-)

Thanks for details on TMF. I like how their charter allows for some non-TMO investments and concur it's a good place for IRA or UTMA money, will check Monday WSJ to see the discount to NAV. Bruce is correct to raise issue re cap gains distribution. No recent PR's on DJ. What is their phone #?
