What is THAT going to do to health care long-term? That's a good question to ask, since it will undoubtedly have serious adverse consequences. But you're right, it will take some time for those consequences to become apparent. The phrase, "I have a doctor's appointment" is leaving our vernacular, being replaced by, "I'm going to see my nurse." And if you think that isn't a substantial reduction in the quality of care, you've lost it.
