sonki, there will not be serious tech buyers until things are more clear. When the blocks are not buying and uncertainty abounds, the natural direction for stocks are down. The price action of INTC sugggests that the market is waiting for some negative news to break. 57ish is possible, and I'd wait until its earnings report in Jan before taking a serious position.

Just like NKE was drifting down and down in recent weeks, it reported earnings after the bell and missed analyst estimates by 7 cents. Said that sales would be slow for the next 6 months due to Asia. What if INTC said the same thing ... and Merced is not coming out until '99. Hope you took profits on DELL on the retrace up recently.

Please don't take this as a doom and gloom post, this is just what I see. Take care.

PS: Does your Dad invest in mutual funds? I'm looking for a good safe fund for an elderly relative.
