The web page minimizes to the bottom application bar. If you look closely at the icon for the browser there will be nested pages shown behind the icon. If you put your mouse over the icon small images of each minimized page (previews) should show. Move your mouse to the page of interest and click and it should restore to the screen. It is a much more efficient use of the display space than to have all of the multitude of application pages minimized to individual buttons on the application bar.

Hi Suma,

I think that Reseller Mike has the answer to your disappearing IE window. If you click on the IE icon on the quick start menu on the task bar (right next to the Start Orb) it will restore your IE window. Or just hover your mouse over the IE icon and you will see a small preview of the minimized IE window.

Based on your experience with Windows 7 so far, I think it would be a good idea for you to review "Getting Started" on the Windows Start Orb. Here is the section on the Windows Task bar from "Getting Started".

I also think that he is correct about the cause of your scrolling monitor. The next time that it starts to scroll, try opening or closing screen an inch or two. This really sounds like a loose or frayed wire.

B.K.

Here is a YouTube video on learning Windows 7 the basics. There are a lot of instructional videos on YouTube that are easier to watch and learn rather than read and learn, here is one:
