Well, I did a lot of work with linear & integer programming and actually made another 3 hour course out of it writing software around the previous course. As to nonlinear, the course was obligatory but the A I got in it was nothing more than a gift and I knew it; the calculus was deadly. Two of the other three guys in there felt the same way. The other, a German fellow with a lot better math background than the rest of us, that guy soaked it up like a sponge. None of us would have never gotten through that course without Manfred dragging us along ;)

Whatever knowledge I may have had of those subjects was lost long ago! I have been working with computer animation a lot lately, and I find my recollection of linear algebra to be exceedingly weak ;)
