I heard a spot on the CBC radio newscast this morning about Barrick(I think) starting up a college in Chile near Atacama(I think) to train locals in mine production. The reporter mentioned that mining companies have had difficulties in the past with the skills of local workers. This college will address these problems and help the viability of mines in Chile over the long term. Sorry about the fuzzy details. I had to think of Atacama and their bright prospects. (I hope.)
