Mike,

Interesting observation about calling to confirm share availability at Datek. I haven't shorted at Datek in a while on the bid, so I can't make a judgement as far as execution time goes. I just assumed it was done electronically. Maybe someone on the Datek thread knows.

Esteban

Mike, Datek has filled me on shorts within a few seconds of placing the order, certainly not enough time to call anywhere.

Does Webb Street supply the customer of a short list of whats available or not?? Calling every time you want to short is a pain in tail. if I am an active trader I dont have time to make these phone calls. Also what happens when you try to short some thing you can't?
