Well, I really wasn't referring to this incident, in which I do think he lied. But it is really sad what the news business has become today. The Framers understood just how important a free media was for the existence of freedom; as integrity in media has collapsed -- AFAIK, mostly over the last 50 or so years, since Vietnam -- so has our freedom. I can't say one caused the other but I do believe they're connected. If you have a propaganda organization as the news media, it is really hard to sustain anything that looks like freedom. If they can get control of the Internet it will kind of extinguish any hope of having a free media going forward imo. Fox is the only with any integrity left and when Roger Ailes is gone who knows about it.
