<< ...a lower dollar will help multinationals. >>

Multinationals have overseas business operations. They report profits in US dollars, so the profits they make overseas are worth less (in US$) when they dollar is weak. This lowers the profits that show up in the income statement and EPS.
The late sell-off in the Dow this afternoon is being blamed on this. 'Course, they gotta blame it on SOMETHING.

P; re>a lower dollar will help multinationals.< Thats not exactly
true, don't belive the spam you hear on TV..many of these mutinationals have large holdings in dollars..the sneak attack
by Japan just wiped out a lot value in thoes holdings..(of the ones
caught by suprise) it's a lot more complicated than I have time to
explain..but what happend was wrong..and will hurt the US..and our
stocks, big moves in the Dollar really shake things up, and you
can bet the Japanese timed it in a way to pay bills, and buy
bonds..the dollar is tied more directly to the bond market, than
to stocks, but after the bond market moves it comes home to effect
stock prices..were a gradual decline lets the multinationls adjust
this unmidagated type of attack is timed to cause them to lose
money on currency exchanges..
any way I wrote enough about this in the last sevearl days..was
the first to see it happening..( 24hrs before it got on TV )..
and I knew who was selling the dollar by the way other currencies
moved..don't think short or in a one track way about money..the
dollar lost on all fronts..accros the board.
Since..the French have sold pounds and bought some of our cheap
dollars, along with some EU..
Since I started following currency trades and back tracking them
I'v become very disturbed whith what I have found..and also
realize how little I really knew prior to that..that puts me
in a not so hot mood, so if you don't do a study on it before you try to one up me with such a shallow almost one line parroting of the dumb news comentators.
------------------------
This morn London, Frankfut , Paris..( GE down .06% ) BP just
starting a small move down, INTL DOWN ( 1.6% ) ; MSFT DOWN ( 3.23% )
IBM DOWN (2.42 %) this don't mean they will fall on our market
but as a leading indicator it is over 70% accurate..one needs to
look at our close yesterday, and convert the cuurencies
to find out if it really is I don't have time to do that and post
it..
Tip of the day DANKY will bounce get in early..she is the big up
mover in London..over 6% so far.
If you bought EWJ the yesterday at sell, on the open.
