As we all have learned from experience, technology can be finicky. Take a few minutes and follow thru on my simple suggestions and it may or may not help. Finally, consider replacing the battery by comparing the battery cost versus a new tab where you will have to replace data. Rather than more frustration a replacement battery costs $8-$10 and may be worth not fooling with it any longer. Depending on user habits your S3 battery should last 3 to 4 years if you employed good battery care. I would buy it from a source that will allow you to return it if it turns out not to be the battery. Luck!
