Thanks for your input, Bill; I've always liked Compaq products, and it's hard to separate the emotionalism from the reality sometimes.

For nostalgia's sake (and entirely off topic), my very first computer was a Compaq Portable III with a 286 processor, 20 MB hard drive, 1 MB of RAM, and a great orange plasma CGA screen. I paid $4200 for that thing in January 1988, and I loved it. PC-DOS was about $200 more, and the full-length 2400-baud modem was about $300.

Ah, those were the days....

Here's one we all missed...symbol: FINE

Check it out. Note the upgrade by DLJ in November followed by a downgrade to "Neutral" one month later. Just goes to show you how sloppy the DD of most analysts is.
