I have asked you this question for a long time and you have conveniently eluded to answer it. So let me repeat again.

If your house gets burglarized, will you ensure that you next time your house is secured well so that no burglar can even attempt to get in or would you go after the burglar, catch that person, throw that person in jail and in the meantime your house is left unsecured and a second burglar breaks in. Which is prudent. You think jail serves as a deterrent or a secure system does so? Talk sensibly here and avoid bringing the rhetoric from the right wing threads here. You think right wing (including Rand Paul) makes sense at all.

Capitalism is not the problem. It's the corruption within the Fed and the biggest banks in this country. They have corrupted the very nature of money itself. I have documented all the fraud here on these threads for years. What we have is cronyism on a scale unseen in the history of the world. Quite literally, since the US moves more money than any other country every has in the history of the world. And here's yet more proof that our government is captured by industry. We don't have Capitalism. We have Cronyism. We have Fascism. And the Dem response is to add Socialism to the mix. That's not a solution. The solution is to put people in jail and clean up the corruption. Capitalism only really works well when corruption and criminal activity is kept at a low level. When corruption gets to these levels, then Capitalism's gears grind to a halt.

Capitalism IS the problem. It encourages greed, ambition and self indulgence. It has resulted in massive pollution and destruction of the environment. Someone who amasses a fortune gets far more respect than someone who plays the cello with great proficiency. The salary of a sports star far exceeds that of a well educated MD or scientist. It encourages and rewards people to leave the arts and follow capitalist pursuits. It pays many actors and models fortunes because they happen to be blessed genetically. It encourages corruption and deceit. It works to influence gov't to the advantage of the corporations and to the disadvantage of the common man. While better than many, capitalism is not a very good economic system.
