Anybody check into the press release today regarding Xedia? I spent some time checking out Xedia's web site and though the company is obviously young and small, it's products (next generation business internet access hardware and software) are interesting and leading edge. I'm a little unclear on the Shiva connection but my guess is someone from Shiva is on Xedia's board or they are an investor. Also involved are Bay, 3COM, NorTel, DEC. It'd sure be nice to see Shiva involved in a next generation anything. It's going to take something new to bring back institutional money and other new investors, and the LanRover technology isn't it. I'm feeling a vague resonance somehow because I like and follow Shiva, 3COM, and NorTel, and it's interesting to see that they've teamed up on something. It made me go, "hmmm", (if nothing else).

Teddy Karen Wharton at SHVA mentioned that NT negotiations may not be finilized until as late as March. Look for an 8cent loss for the 4th and final Qtr of a tough year for us the shareholders. I wonder how arrogant Frank Ingrari feels now. Zucco is the key he must leverage his Telco relationships and be willing to put NT on notice. THATS RIGHT nt needs shiva as much as shiva needs them. Lucent or even southwest bell may find some value in Shiva Cabletron needs a remote acess entry THEY make the most logical fit with Shiva.
