The book of Daniel shows the young men that were taken as captives were educated and trained to serve the king. Again proving my point, the Egyptian kings also did the same 1000yrs earlier, taking political hostages when they conquered territories/cities like Megiddo, even Babylon.Then educating them to serve their idea of order, harmony & imprinting their culture on them. Anyone can see this mode of cultural exchange & benefits to the Jews from each contact was immense, they were backward hilltribes originally and majority stayed in Babylon. Perhaps migrated north up into Turkey, the Greeks had already been settling in Byzantium around 660BC which was right on major trade routes, later to be called Constantinople now Istanbul. We know that Greece has been occupied by humans for about 75,000yrs, reflect how long that is.

You claim the Jews as a distinct people were a fabrication and the Temple that Nebuchadnezzar destroyed never existed Compared to what we really know historically with proven artifacts, there is scant evidence for any specific Yaweh worship in that location, what occurs much much later happens all over the area among many peoples as they culturally mature. EL was probably the original "God of Isra'el", for the word "Israel" is based on the name of El rather than on that of Yahweh. Then Deuteronomistic redactors re-worked history later to bolster their own theological views about this ' Abrahamic Yahoo God', as they got busy after being inspired by Persians & Babylonians. How many times have we seen this set up before, priest/kings & divine emperor/ruler elites allign themselves with some heavenly lord of hosts? Protector warrior deities for their area & peoples? One god or many, it matters not, its the same orderings that come out of human instinct expressed thru ritual sacrifices for imaginary beings, which in reality drove their economy, which Jerusalem was primarily based.
