What is silly,primitive is belief in an afterlife but in recorded history the Egyptians set the platinum standard for this. There is not a shred of doubt the profound influence they had on the surrounding Bedouin tribes & peoples, especially those which the Hebrews descended from later, But it is silly and an illusion for every star you see in the universe will burn thru its fuel eventually & die.
