Norm- RE OS/2. Connect 3.0 is the best. 4.0 has some nice new features
but IBM cutbacks in Warp staff show. While it's Microsoft vs everyone
except Reg and John, IBM is going full blast developing Java features
all free. (IBM's latest OS/2 JVM runs 8% faster than Explorer JVM on NT.
Objective is to make it run as fast a compiled C/C++).
If all you want to do is run a browser or develop Java
you can pick up a used Connect for around $25. and try it out.

OS/2 Server now has NC capability at least a year before NT 5.0 arrives.

If Microsoft continues to self destruct, OS/2 could become a
commercial alternative for Web activities. Besides, you sleep better
with IBM, at least I do.

Harvey

P.S. I forgot to tell you about the joy of downloading a giant file
while doing my normal developing and testing. OS/2 really asks to
be pressed.
