Pokersam, It is the law that no one can be turned away from a hospital emergency room. The defenders of ObamaCare claim that ER care is costing us billions, and that having more people on insurance actually saves money. (The truth is the opposite, of course.) I think there are other factors at play here. Quality, affordability, and equal access regardless of your finances. If you're a woman, for example, you don't go to the ER for a mammogram. I don't know how much a mammogram is, but without insurance, it's going to cost a fortune if they find anything suspicious. Then what if they find out it's cancer? Hence I don't think it's fair to say that those without insurance can easily find health care. Tenchusatsu
