Dale, the action of intel's stock recently tells me that the competition is going to slow Intel's earnings...I am looking to buy at $60 range...that would put me in the 12 to 15 multiple where I think I can make money...multiple of 20 is too high for Intel(historically speaking)...good luck...

Dale,

The last prediction I remember from Sanders (of AMD) was 15 million chips in 1998. Someone at Cyrix said they could make 10 million chips in '98.

If they make 15 million chips combined, it is still an increase from I guess 8 million they made together with IBM in '97. I don't think we will see many IBM made Cyrix chips in '98, but IBM may be making AMD chips.

How is AMD's K7 advancing? Is anyone using the K6 in their PC? How does it compare with the PII?

My theory is that the quality will not matter as much as quantity and price. With the miniscule differences in performance, with cacheless P-II muddying the waters, the buyers will be even more confused about the chips. I think it will be a bloodbath for all 3 CPU makers.
