Marketing Trial of Tel-Save to start on Thursday

bloomberg.com

That URL will not be valid by the morning, but it says that the CEO of Tel-Save expects to have 20,000 people sign up for their 9 cents/minute service on the first day of the Tel-Save rollout on AOL.

The question which pops in my mind is - I wonder how many of those 20,000 will know they switched carriers? Or even more to the point - how many of them will even be AOL subscribers?

Qwest Comm is rolling out 7.5 cent/minute service in Feb. The number of AOL'ers who sign up for Tel-Save's "best value in the business" will again demonstrate the savviness of the AOL user.
