Amsterdam Airport Schiphol carries out checks upon departure and arrival, depending on the country a passenger is travelling to or arriving from.

Now that you've qualified it to local I'll admit you are somewhat correct except they still go through passport control in both directions although local travel doesn't require one shows a passport. BFD. I've only traveled into and out of Europe and not in between. Enjoy your victory. A**hole.
