There's a stereotype where Chinese men these days are submissive to controlling wives. It's slightly different from the stereotypes of Korean and Japanese men, but in all cases, none of these stereotypes are particularly flattering. Then again, the stereotypes of Asian women are much, much worse. Like you point out they are stereotypes..........and there tend to be a lot of exceptions to stereotypes. I have a couple of friends who don't fit the stereotypes at all.
