How can anyone ignore these predictions when we are truly just beginning to see the effects of the Asian debacle. However, a general slowdown in techs for over a year seems unlikely. I agree that the market may be down for 6 months. Regardless, my brother (an analyst at Merryl in NY) tells me that January will be a strong month for the market as a whole, but techs will not reflect the upswing as much as other sectors.
