>> Dude...the technologies that enable these innovations almost ALWAYS come from progressive regions and initiatives...

There is a big difference between "regions" and "initiatives" and you can't just throw them in a sentence together and make them similar.

There is no end to this argument but at the end of the day it is ready access to capital that causes innovation. I do not believe an argument can be made that liberals are particularly supportive of capitalistic endeavor.

>> you guys almost ALWAYS stand on the sidelines opposing initiatives like CAFE standards,

CAFE standards are a largely liberal cause, perhaps, but I don't find them to be a great driver of innovation.

>> rebelling at the notion of smaller cars, public transportation, calling government intervention intrusive...

Of course. Government intervention is, by definition, intrusive -- it is a question only of how much. And it is generally counterproductive when it comes to innovation.

Smaller cars are a matter of liberty. I don't want smaller cars. Fuck anyone who says I should be forced to have them.

I would point you to the Russian automotive model, where cars are made of heavy steel, every model is available in special designs for one-footed, two-footed, no-footed drivers, but they are consistently pieces of shit. I would also point to the aforementioned hydrogen fuel cell, which is anything but a liberal initiative.

>> every time you see a Prius next to a dually you can immediately tell who is driving which....

You can definitely tell who's driving the Prius. The SMUG is all over the place:

youtube.com

>> hell, you can't even shut up about efficient light bulbs...

I haven't said anything about the light bulb situation in years. However, that was a counterproductive action.

The very word "conservative" should tell you where yous side stands...

Elon Musk is far closer to me politically than he is to you.
