I use whichever one comes with the Linux. It comes up and asks you where you want to put the Linux, unused space, different drive, delete something existing, etc.

I then install the Linux bootloader. Let Linux come up and ask you if you want to run Windows or Linux, or boot whichever one you want by default.

I have used "Grub Customizer" in the past. It simplifies options and ability to arrange O/S loading order. It is available for Ubuntu/Linux Mint. As I don't have duel boot any longer, I haven't used the program for some time.
