Bill, Bull and Bear Channels. I play with envelope channels and change the percent displacement from the moving average that I am playing with. This helps me to tell how the stock has behaved in the past. This gives me a good idea if we are still on a bull run or making a turn for a bear run or from a bear run to a bull run. I like to look at at a stocks history so I have both a bull and bear cycle. All stocks do not behave alike. Just like kids.<ggg> I agree with your idea that everything needs to move together, but I will short in a bull market if a sector is in a bear market. Sectors can have bear markets when the total market is a raging bull. Same with a bear market. Joan
