I'm really not knocking the people who drive a Prius. But those who do it because they think they're saving anyone money are just confused.

If they feel like they're helping the world, that 's okay with me but I really am aggravated at the idea taxpayers are paying for part of the cost. If they just like the car, that's fine.

I guess my only real complaint is the idiocy of government taking a LOT of taxpayer money and helping people pay for cars. But they helped me pay for a new AC unit a few years ago, one that I would have cheerfully written a check for (because I wanted my home to be cool) and couldn't have cared less about whether I could get a tax credit for it. But it is not my practice to blame recipients of taxpayer largesse for the actions of politicians. So, the bashing of Prius drivers is unfair. It is the idiots in Washington DC who ought to be bashed. And the voters who vote for the idiots.
