We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark, the real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light ~ Plato

And Christians wonder where the very best of the philosophy in their Bible comes from, Hebrews were
only imitators as usual, borrowing from the masters.

This is pure Buddha speaking here, absolutely : ..."Beauty of style and harmony and grace and good rhythm depend on simplicity — I mean the true simplicity of a rightly and nobly ordered mind and character, not that other simplicity which is only a euphemism for folly."

Global Secular Humanist Movement Is atheism irrational? A philosopher says “yes” (& another says no).

Atheism, despite whatever Sartwell says, is eminently rational. We see no
evidence for any gods, much less the Abrahamic gods. There are thousands of
different religions, each with adherents believing different tenets that are
incompatible with those of other faiths. What is the justification for belief in
such a case?

If you’re a Pentecostal Christian, you think you’ll go to hell
unless you accept Jesus as your personal savior. If, on the other hand, you’re a
Muslim, you’ll go to hell if you believe that! That, my
friends, is faith.
