ISIS is trying to form a new Caliphate in the ME. Other than their moving into Iraq, which Bush 'freed' from Saddam and 'trained' and equipped' their military, why should we care? In Syria, do we care if the current dictator runs the hellhole or if ISIS does? Why should we?

ISIS is a threat to the adjoining Muslim states they want to form into a new Caliphate. We aren't threatened by them at all, other than the potential hostages we put within their reach. Has ISIS threatened ANY terrorist attacks on the US?

Inode,
It is unclear to me what causes ISIS to stop if not a serious, forceful effort by the US.
You would think that this should be handled by the UN Security Council, if not the US.
