You know, I'm really not in the predictions business. But there's not a lot I've been wrong about in the health care arena. I predicted the disaster that is EHR. The other thread documents that fact well. I predicted the utterly failure of the ACA to accomplish any of the key improvements it was supposedly targeting -- including the number of persons covered, the inability of the increased numbers of Medicaids to get care because providers wouldn't give their services away, and other rather obvious market consequences. I also predicted that Medicare will find itself in the same boat as Medicaid, but that it will take longer. I predicted the quality of care would decline substantially and it has. I stated up front that there will be a growing and persistent shortage of doctors, and there is and there will continue to be. So, guessing is guessing, but I've been right on most of the healthcare issues I bothered to speak about, primarily because it doesn't take a lot of guessing to understand how market economies work. Even when government fucks up one side of the market, the other side continues to participate. I'm sure I've been wrong about something related to health care but it really doesn't come to mind at this point. You, on the other hand, are certifiably ignorant of the entire process. Presumably, that is the reason you left the health care thread where you were being challenged by people who understand what's going on and you simply couldn't respond to it because you didn't have the intellectual capital to do so. I think this thread is a better place for you. Doesn't require any real knowledge.
