Yes, the fundamentals have changed -- just ask Cabletron and Bay. In the LAN market, there is ever more migration away from slow, hub-based networking to fast switch-based networking. This explains completely why Cabletron is having such a rough time. So much of their networking was based on the older paradigms, and their new switching product can't compete.

...on the other hand, MRVC has little or no exposure to slow, hub-based networking...and at the same time has major exposure leading-edge high-speed networking -- AND, MRVC can sell product. In fact, I'm confident in saying that MRVC is the best-positioned of all the LAN companies I know of. Sure, Cisco is bigger, but they just cannot achieve the same growth rate since Cisco's fastest-growing segments are diluted by slower growers.

...in short, none of the positive market fundamentals that make MRVC unique are reflected in the stock price...and all of the negative sentiment due to Asia worries is...
