MediaGX does not work with SDRAM. MXi will combine two pieces of 64-bit SDRAM into 128-bit data path.

MediaGX 233Mhz might perform just as good as the cacheless PII-266 with everyday applications for most PC users.

Joe,

70% of Micron's production is SDRAM. I believe the Koreans and Japanese are lagging Micron somewhat, but they are also attempting to move production over to SDRAM. The price premium for SDRAM will evaporate quite quickly.
