Michael,

I'd bet ya that don lane heard, once or so, about dollar cost averaging.

So, wouldn't you want to dollar cost average into ownership of a company where the prospects of growth in future earnings is strong? The potential for Intel appears dull, given that the big growth is in the low-margin chips. Intel's past growth in earnings was supported by the high-end cpu's where the profit margins are very attractive. At the low end, where the real growth is now, margins are a thin gruel indeed.

So wouldn't an investor would better off ten years into the future by dollar cost averaging into a company with a brighter future?

Regards,
David Todtman
