Irby and All, I would like to know which of two oscillators would be a more consistent signal giver for change of a trend, would it be the stochastic oscillator or MACD, or would you use a combination of the two ? Implying that if both are confirming a bottom and crossing over showing an uptrend, that this would normally signal the following day's price action (that it should be positive). I know that if you play with the numbers, that you can make them show you what you want to see instead of what is true. Would you then add 'momentum' or Directional movement to the picture to get a clearer confirmation?
All these indicators that I have mentioned I would intend to use with normal figures for the formulas. Besides a stock that you are familiar with, when you screen them, which oscillator's, ma's, or other, would you use as a basis to screen for positive action on a stock to trade the next day ?? These questions of course are open to ALL for answers.
