I posted this at PFP when it came out this weekend. It has made a huge hit on the Internet, especially since the author and the magazine are both of the Left. This is an Academic bunch, following the old ways of Islam. It's really a "Gimme that old time religion" group.

How is the ISLAMIC state different than the JEWISH STATE. They both have an apocalyptic vision and based their beliefs on a distorted and warped understanding of history and biblical prophecies. They both demand a religious state with favored treatment for their religion. They are both totally anti-democratic but only the Islamic state gets vilified in the American/European media.
