Has nothing whatsoever to do with "Obama's initiatives".

It is a rather blatant case of market forces at work and specifically refutes the idea that "Obama's initiatives" are necessary or even helpful. Just get the hell out of the way and let markets do what they do.

Perhaps you missed this, but there is no government regulation involved in this happening.

Wal-Mart to spend $1 bln to raise U.S. wages this year
Free market working as intended.

One of the biggest complaints with Walmart is customer service. They recognize this and are taking steps to correct it, including increasing employee job satisfaction.
This is one of Obama's initiatives paying off..
