this is wisdom at work.

IMHO Apple is far better off in designing a standard and system that goes into Cars to make it work than it is to make a car.

Team with Tesla, not buy Tesla will work far better. Team with Chevy or Toyota.

The guts of building a car and the liability and issues around it are huge and distracting and not a tech play.

> General Motors CEO Warns Apple

Electric cars are far different beast than either hybrids or internal combustion cars. Less parts. Less complexity. A premium on tech and weight reduction. More aluminum. Lots of milled aluminum which is something Apple does quite well right now. AND QUIETER.

If I had the bucks that quieter part would be a big deal. Pair that with an optimum stereo and YEAH... the interior of cars theoretically is a very nice place acoustically. Sound waves really don't move air, what you hear is air pressure differences. And the material inside cars is designed to absorb and deaden sound so there are very few echos.

Put solar on your roof, no gasoline bills, no stops at the gas station. And if you can write it off as powering your work vehicle... practically free.

The main problems right now are range, which is getting better, and charging time which no one has been able to crack.
