Sorry, but the facts are indisputable. The conservative 5-4 majority on the SCOTUS is who gave us citizens united and even voted to disrupt equal voting rights, you can pretend otherwise but that does not make it true

>>No doubt the present day GOP sucks I've been pissed off at them since 2003 and it gets WORSE with each passing year. Tax cuts for billionaires, trickle down, more wars and deregulate everything<<

So you were just fine with the GOP until 2003?... news flash, earth to vosilla,,,, trickle down, tax cuts for the rich, deregulation in favor of the corporate elite, attacking the middle and lower class, blowing billions on the war machine, starting wars in the ME, etc, got its resurgence starting with Raygun

Oh, and there's no such thing as racism? it's just the left who race-bate? good god, in the world of Fox news you must reside

The current GOP headed by Rush Limbaugh and Fox news and tea party freaks and the Religious Right extremists pretty much openly celebrate bigotry, racism, homophobia, xenophobia, warmongering, religious extremist nutwackery, greed, corruption, selfishness, conspiracy theories, lies, and just abject ignorance and stupidity

there's no comparison... to say "both sides are to blame" is a convenient way for die-hard republicans to wipe your hands clean of the party that does nothing but celebrate hate and lies and does every thing it can to self-destruct anything positive when a Dem is in the WH. And when the REP is in the WH it's pretty much open season to rape and pillage... run op debts and deficits, cut taxes on the rich, and attack the poor... that's pretty much the MO of the GOP

And now the right wing morons want a holy war, they think we should just set off a nuke somewhere in the ME or just throw thousands of American troops in there to "wipe out the enemy", talk about stuck on stupid

when it comes to stupid, there is just no comparison to the xenophobia of the wingnuts who control the congress and the senate, but i'm sure it makes you feel better to pretend otherwise

Since 2003 ??? The corruption of the Republican Party began in 1980 with Ronald Reagan. The year mathematics no longer mattered to Republicans.

Reagan used the cash-flow from the Baby Boomer's Social Security and Medicare taxes to provide a 2/3 cut in income tax rates for the top 1%, on the theory that it would "trickle-down" to the real economy. That's 1980.

Of course Ronald Reagan's tax policies sharply reduced economic growth just as most economists said it would, redirecting the little new available income exclusively to people who spend a very small percentage of their income. It's not rocket science to understand how bad Regan's scheme was.

Reagan gave away the immense Social Security tax surplus which could have created a huge permanent retirement investment fund. So instead we have seen Social Security benefits reduced twice so benefits no longer keep up with inflation. And we have Fox News complaining about the fact that almost 60% of the Federal Budget is wasted on the two "Entitlement Programs" which are also known as Medicare and Social Security.

Most Tea Party members and many Republicans constantly wish for a strong-leader like Vladimir Putin who has the courage to stand up to the elderly and cut their retirement benefits back to $68 per month, just as Putin has done in Russia. Stupid and weak Barack Obama has shamelessly refused to cut Social Security and Medicare benefits by 50% or more, let alone make a man-sized cut-back like Putin pushed through. They want a real leader who will take control and kick the spoiled retired Baby Boomers in the teeth.

You can certainly understand why Republicans want to kick lazy elderly Americans off the Medicare and Social Security Entitlement Programs. After you steal their Social Security and Medicare taxes, you have to also end their benefits, or actually increase income taxes to pay back the money you stole. And what crooks want to repay their theft?

Being an ardent Republican I'm sure you'd much rather see lazy elderly Americans sent to death camps, or simply starved into suicide as is happening in Russia currently, than to see a return to pre-Reagan income tax rates on the top 1%. Ensuring the fact that the top 1% pay much lower income tax rates than you do is probably your primary mission in life.

I recommended your post not because i understood what you meant, but because your conclusions coincide with the demand side of the new ledger being formed now by populations of disparate potential , arriving at similar conclusions.

I dont hate Kochs or Soros, in fact hate is something we should all strive to eliminate from our vocabularies.

Views about the world we live in, are changing for large populations. The disconnect with classical models for the purpose of oligarchy are what is going to be seen as the most probable outcome as those who have run the game, are well known at high ground. Just as we now have our surveillance society, so they have theirs. No one is exempt from the obligations to live a life free of the run amuck metrics of contriving gains at someone else's expense when the rules are not clear, the education not even, the outcomes fixed to churn everyone because they have been scripted into some dumb or dumber matrix of one kind or another.
