"At the CIA, Harf was “promoted” from Middle East analyst to press liaison, which does not suggest a rich intellectual life."

A couple thoughts: One, it sounds like she did such a bangup job as a Middle East analyst, they promoted her to talking to the press. We know how good she is at that.

Two, the Jobs for ISIS and the 'we can't kill our way to victory' things ..... where did she learn that? Is that really what the CIA thinks? Guess so. It explains why Kerry and Obama keep saying such silly things.

OMG

Another opinion:

Deputy State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf's contention that jobs programs and economic opportunity, not military action, will defeat ISIS was not just "stupid," but also "dangerous," according to national security analyst Ryan Mauro, who appeared Wednesday on Newsmax TV's "America's Forum."

"Look at her bio, she was a Middle East analyst for the CIA and she believes this," Mauro said of Harf. "She was an adviser to Chuck Hagel when he was secretary of defense. John Kerry has said this exact same thing, so did George W. Bush.

"So what you have is a fact-free theory about what drives terrorism that has been long discredited — study after study has found no connection between unemployment or a lack of education or poverty and terrorism — yet the highest elites of the national security apparatus just accept it as if it's just fact."
