I gave you a 'rec' for that thoughtful post! Having a great poker tourney right now! I gotta concentrate, so I don't mess up! It is a funny thing about top level play. Whenever you make the decision to fold or call or raise there is an honesty factor that often gets occluded by unwarranted optimism, hope, faith--or simply resentment against another player who is "making you mad"! There is nothing more important than totally depersonalising the guy or gal who you can FEEL across the board. That sensitivity can destroy a player. But it can also make her a master if she feels the feeling but rationalises it appropriately. It is about emotion. I was an expert many years ago. But the winner of the money is the one who can remove his/her EGO. Saying the words is easy!
