Not sure why your option question is on this thread, but typically when this happens in my Schwab account the shares will be seen Monday AM prior to market open.

First, your question probably belongs here:

SI's IB message board

Its not a very active board, but questions are usually answered by someone. I suggest you add it to your subjectmarks. While there are some option related boards on SI, they are virtually dormant. I just checked. The two I have subjectmarked have had *1* message posted the past decade.

Second, some options don't settle until Saturday or Sunday. Indeed, for a given security, the options may settle Friday one week, Saturday the next week, Sunday the week after that. Your Friday IB statement will show you still holding the options appropriately valued i.e. Friday's closing price - strike. You may receive over the weekend a message from IB letting you know it autoexercised. Maybe not. If you were short the option and called out, you certainly would. They don't always notify you when long options are autoexercised.

On Monday (North American Time) TWS will show the appropriate # of shares and a corresponding reduction in your cash balance as will IB's Monday statement.
