***Way OT***Unless CNBC gets on your nerves...

A Day or two ago I caught a Power Lunch piece touting some new "real life" type inflation number. I mean, in the morning we get a great official number and a few hours later I'm hearing a 5+ percent number from Bill G.

So, I fire off a msg on the new index as follows: "Lose it! Investors/traders have real money on the table and we don't need CNBC
to invent some "feature" to boost your ratings. What you people say can cause pain and gain. Please report the real news and quit dreaming up your own...there are enough car wrecks on the 11 o'clock news. Stop it! Regards, Michael"

Today, I get an e-mail: "Thanks for your note. Funny. We have received quite a number of e-mails and letters from other viewers who appreciate the inflation index we created. That's why we continue to show it. So far, you have been the only nay sayer. But, we appreciate your comments. Regards, The Power Lunch Crew"

Later today, my new pals at Power Lunch forward me an e-mail they say I might find interesting: To CNBC from Carl Laco: "Congratulations. Someone besides Jimmy Rogers is revealing the real world.......I'm glad and thankful that a prominent news station such as CNBC is challenging the U.S. Government's CPI figures. Regards"

The above strictly for insominac thread addicts hoping for just one more wordy wee hours post. Let's make some $$$ today! Michael
